Amy Winehouse is so determined to reverse some of the damage drugs and drink have done to her body, she has shelled out a whopping $10,000 on beauty treatments while on holiday in St Lucia.
The Rehab singer has been on the Caribbean island since early December, staying in the exclusive Le Sport spa hotel.
And millionaire Amy, 25, has been spending every day in the hotel’s skin clinic or spa.
Hotel manager Andrew Barnard explains, “We had Amy on a diet and exercise programme as she really wasn’t well when she came to us. But now she’s mentally and physically stronger. When you eat a lot of fresh food your body changes. She’s had lots of treatments too and is really looking good.
“At the beginning Amy was a difficult guest but she’s actually quite charming.”
A source added to British newspaper the Daily Mirror, “Every day at the hotel she was either in the skin clinic or spa trying to reverse the damage she had done to her body through drugs.
“She loves sweets and had a terrible diet so she also put herself on a nutritional program where she was taught what to eat and how to look after her body properly. She might not look the picture of health but there’s no doubt she’s in much better shape .”
