Rihanna Named as Victim in Chris Brown Assault Case

Rihanna is the named alleged victim in the Chris Brown assault case – and the allegation is that she was attacked with a deadly weapon, according to reports.
Brown, 19 handed himself in to police after officers responded to a phone call at around 12.30am on Sunday morning from an unnamed woman who accused the Run It singer of hurting her.
Citing law enforcement officials, TMZ says the crime report calls the incident assault with a deadly weapon, although the nature of the weapon is not yet known.
The crime report gives the victim’s name as Robyn Fenty – the Umbrella hitmaker’s real name.
Both singers pulled out of a planned appearance at last night’s Grammy Awards following the incident.
Speaking at the ceremony, Paula Abdul said, “I’m hearing some mixed things about what happened. All I can say is I hope Rihanna heals quickly. She’s a lovely girl.”
The case is being presented to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office; additional charges may be filed.
Brown is due in court March 5.
