Lady GaGa: ‘I Wear no Pants so my Grandma Can See me’

Tuesday, February 10, 2009

Lady GaGa has revealed why she wears skimpy see-through outfits – so her grandmother can see her.

The New York-born singer – who reached number one in the UK and US with her debut single Just Dance – dresses scantily-clad because her “basically blind” grandparent finds it easier to spot.

“My grandmother is basically blind, but she can make out the lighter parts, like my skin and hair. She says, ‘I can see you, because you have no pants on.’ So I’ll continue to wear no pants so that my grandma can see me,” the 22-year-old told Rolling Stone magazine, adding that she intends to design her own clothing line.

“I can’t wait to do my own line,” she said. “It’s definitely something I want to do in the next year as I do have my own style.”
