Goody Plans to Christen Sons

Jade Goody is planning to get her young sons Christened – so they understand “Mummy is watching over them in heaven”.
The reality TV star, 27, was diagnosed with cervical cancer last year. She was recently told that the disease had spread to her bowel, groin and liver. On Friday (Feb. 6), Goody underwent emergency surgery to remove a “golf-ball sized” tumor from her bowel.
On the afternoon of February 13, Jade’s medical team gathered around her bed and told her there was nothing more they could do. The battle was over and they were sending her home to die.
And she is determined to make sure Bobby, five, and Freddy, four, remember their mommy when she dies.
Jade tells Britain’s Sunday Mirror, “I want them to understand that Mummy will be in Heaven and watching over them.
“The doctors told me they have done everything they can. I really thought I was going to be OK. I have cried and cried and cried.
“I do not know how to tell them. I don’t want to frighten them. I explained to them I am coming home next week with a nurse and they will be spending more time with their dad.
“I have told them they are going to be christened. Freddie just laughed and said: ‘Does that mean we are getting religion.’
“I found it really hard when I saw them to stop weeping. I was trying not to cry when I saw them. All I can do is make sure they have a happy and fulfilled life.
“I want them to have the best life possible. I know I’m ignorant, but I’m going to make sure my boys are not. I will make sure they have the best education… and they will always know that it’s what their mum did for them.
“That will be my legacy to them. It’s all I can do now. Hopefully, they will always remember that I did my best for them.
“I want to set up a trust to pay for their education and make sure they have the chances I didn’t.
“I want them to understand that Mummy will be in Heaven watching over them. It’s really important to me now that they learn about Jesus and I want them to be christened so they still feel I’m there for them.
“I also want them to do sport and to join a football league in a team.”
