Archuleta Eyes Bedingfield Collaboration

David Archuleta wants to record a duet with Natasha Bedingfield.

The former American Idol star – who recently described himself as “weird looking” – says his “ultimate” collaboration would be with the These Words hitmaker.

Archuleta dishes, “I love that the UK has pop which doesn’t need to be urban or bubblegum like it does in the US

“I’m pop but I’m still trying new things. I like things that have soul so the ultimate collaboration would be with Natasha Bedingfield.”

The adorable 18-year-old also revealed how he fought back after developing vocal paralysis that left him struggling to speak.

He added, “I wasn’t able to perform. It was tough but I refused to have surgery. I’m now fully over it.”

    I’ve seen David sing three times, and it was realllly memorable. What a powerhouse voice–exquisite, soaring and passionate! Pitch perfect. Unlike anything I’ve ever heard. HUGE talent! Plus, he’s as endearing and gorgeous a human being as God ever made. I’ve become one of his rabid fans. (We’re legion, so ya know.)

    When you get to know him and hear him, you’re gonna love ya some David!! No doubt. He’s fabulous.

    Get ready for a great set from David. He throws EVERYTHING into his songs, and he is constantly relating to the audience. A duet with Natasha will be outstanding….their styles are complimentary.

    Look on Youtube for Natasha Bedingfield Archuleta – Natasha guested on Idol that year. After singing she went over to David and hugged him and kissed him on the cheek. I think it would be a super collaboration – I think their great rhythm and super voices would be wonderful together.
