Winslet: ‘I’m Obsessed With my Oscar’

Kate Winslet admits she’s “obsessed” with her Oscar.

The British actress saw off competition from Anne Hathaway (Rachel Getting Married); Angelina Jolie (Changeling); Melissa Leo (Frozen River); and Meryl Streep (Doubt) to take home the Best Actress gong at Sunday night’s Academy Awards for her role in The Reader.

And Kate says she doesn’t want to let the prestigious statuette out of her sight.

She told chat show queen Oprah Winfrey, “I keep looking at him and going, ‘Oooh wow’. Looking at every little piece – very nice little bottom.”

“It really is an out of body experience,” Winslet, 33, said of hearing her name called out as the winner. “You just think, ‘This can’t be happening’.

“I felt for sure this was going to be Meryl Streep’s. I honestly did not think for one second that it was going to be me.”
