Colin Farrell has been leaning on Keira Knightley following his recent split from girlfriend Emma Forrest.

The Irish actor, 32, split from novelist Emma last month after the pair had dated for almost a year.

And Farrell is now seeking solace in Knightley – his costar in new movie London Boulevard.

A source tells Britain’s Daily Express newspaper, “Keira thought it would be helpful to speak to Colin about their parts but she has been trying to support him while he goes through girlfriend troubles.

“Keira says it has helped her understand the man she is going to be playing opposite and is delighted to have connected so well with him.”

Keira – who is currently dating actor Rupert Friend – is said to be looking forward to filming her scenes with Colin, who plays her love interest in the film.

The source added, “She can’t wait to start shooting as she has put in so much preparation for the part.

“She has felt lonely without much time with Rupert over the past few months as he has been busy promoting his new film Young Victoria, and – like Colin – can’t wait to absorb herself in the project.”
