Twilight star Taylor Lautner has been banned from dating – until he turns 28.

The 17-year-old actor – who reprises his role as Jacob Black in Twilight sequel New Moon later this year – says he’s not allowed a girlfriend for another 11-years, although he plans to come to an agreement with his strict father.

Taylor explains, “My dad says I can’t date until I’m 28. I’m definitely hoping to negotiate that one down.

“My parents brought me up to have respect and not take things for granted.”

And what’s Taylor looking for in his perfect partner? “I like girls who aren’t uptight and not afraid to be a dork,” he said. “I dig girls who can let loose and have a fun time.”
