Kelly Clarkson has heaped praise on fellow singer Katy Perry.

The former American Idol contestant – who got to number one with her recent single My Life Would Suck Without You – thinks the Hot ‘n Cold hitmaker is “awesome”.

She says, “Katy Perry’s awesome and cute too.”

Clarkson, 26, recently revealed she’d like to team up with British songstress Adele.

She said, “I hope to do something with Adele. I love her voice so much, she’s just so incredible.

“I adore Annie Lennox, she’s such a strong woman. It’s no secret that I’m pretty much obsessive about her.

“I met Dave Stewart a while back in LA, so who knows maybe we can do something together one day.”
