Tom Cruise is being lined up to take play the President.
The actor – who recently starred in the war film Valkyrie and the comedy flick Tropic Thunder – will star in new dramatic film The 28th Amendment, to be directed by Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck who helmed Oscar winning German film The Lives of Others, according to industry publication Variety.
Cruise, 46, is said to be in talks to make the movie with the director. It revolves around a U.S. president who discovers the existence of a secret cabal that runs the government and wants him dead.
Gene Hackman, Harrison Ford, Michael Douglas and William Hurt have all previously played U.S. presidents.
