Robin Williams is to undergo heart surgery.

The actor – who was admitted to a south Florida hospital earlier this week – has postponed the rest of his comedy tour, Weapons of Self-Destruction, to have the surgery.

Williams will “undergo surgery for an aortic valve replacement,” his reps announced Thursday.

His tour will likely be resumed in the fall.

“I’m so touched by everyone’s support and well wishes,” Williams added. “This tour has been amazing fun and I can’t wait to get back out on the road after a little tune-up.”
