Amy Winehouse has been forced to splash out almost $40,000 on new clothes – after going up three dress sizes.

The Rehab hitmaker – who recently returned to the UK after a two-month holiday in St Lucia – has started to regain some of her once-famous curves, and is now a healthier size 10.

A source tells Britain’s Daily Mirror newspaper, “Amy is like a different woman since returning from St Lucia.

“For a start off, she’s all woman – and no longer possesses the body of a pre-pubescent teenager. Since keeping away from the drugs, Amy’s finding new pleasure in food – something she used to be pretty indifferent about.

“She still likes her sweets though… and the odd shandy here and there.

“She’s regained a few of her curves and has gone up a few dress sizes. And she looks all the better for it, but the only annoying thing is that she’s had to fork out on new clothes.

“Last week she had a four-hour, one-on-one session in [London department store] Selfridges, relaxing in the personal shopper suite while clothes were brought in for her to try on.

“She was perfectly happy munching on melted chocolate-covered strawberries and picking out clothes in lots of bright – mainly pink – colors. Amy didn’t bat an eyelid at the £19,000 price tag. She reckons she looks a million dollars.”
