Kelly Clarkson: ‘I Never Dated Simon Cowell’

Kelly Clarkson is convinced people think she is more than just friends with her old American Idol judge Simon Cowell.
The Miss Independent hitmaker – who recently declared she was “horrible” at relationships – says she still can’t disassociate herself from TV’s Mr Nasty, even after seven years as a solo artist.
She explains, “Everybody seems to think we dated or something.
“We didn’t date but he’s always been very supportive of me.”
“The funny thing about him is the Idol contestants think he’s harsh but they should see what people in the press say about you,” Clarkson adds. “I think it’s great preparation for what lies ahead. Because of him I don’t take criticism too seriously. I just see it as advice.”
