Prince William has revealed his childhood dream – to be a policeman.

The British royal – second in the line of succession to the throne – divulged his secrets during an interview with CBBC’s Newsround.

“A long time ago I wanted to be a policeman. I soon learned that probably wasn’t a good idea,” said William, 26.

He also told how he was left with a mark on his forehead after a boyhood golfing accident. “That’s my Harry Potter scar. I call it that because it glows sometimes,” he said.

The Prince gave the interview as president of Royal Marsden hospital – a position previously held by his mum, Princess Diana.

He is backing the hospital’s £15million appeal to build Europe’s leading children’s and teenage cancer center..
