Madonna Buys New York Townhouse

Madonna is is expanding her property portfolio — she has reportedly signed a contract to buy a four-story, Georgian-style townhouse on New York’s East 81st Street for about $40 million.
The Material Girl got the property for $5 million less than the original asking price, according to the New York Post.
“The townhouse is perfect for Madonna,” a source told the paper. “She’s trying to recreate London in New York City, and this is in the style of a London townhouse.”
The property is not yet in move-in condition.
Madonna, 50, is planning extensive renovations, along with major security upgrades.
