Jennifer Lopez to Buy Miami Condo

Icon BrickelThe singer — who already owns properties on both Long Island in New York and Star Island in Miami — is planning to buy a suite at Miami’s Icon Brickell development (pictured to the right).

Lopez and her singer husband, Marc Anthony, were recently given a personal tour of the tower by its developer, Jorge Perez.

“Jennifer saw Jorge’s condo and loved it so much that she’s considering combining a couple of units to make one big apartment as a weekend getaway,” an insider told the New York Daily News.

    Jorge is following the lead undertaken by so many our condo developers in Las Vegas. Identify a high profile celebrity who has some affinity for the city, give them a condo unit for free, and watch as all the other star struck morons follow and buy up some of the unsold inventory. Problem is that this cost (i.e. the value forgone on one of the premium penthouse units) usually does not provide the expected return.
