Katie Holmes‘ brother-in-law has died.
According to Radar Online, Joseph Jeffrey Fretti – the 48-year-old husband of Holmes’ older sister Tamera — passed away unexpectedly of heart failure.
Fretti — the owner of a funeral home in Holmes’ hometown of Toledo, Ohio — was found dead by a family friend Sunday in the Sarasota, Fla., home of his mother Shirley. He had taken his two young children to visit his 76-year-old mother.
A funeral Mass for Fretti is scheduled at Gesu Church in Toledo next Monday. Katie is expected to attend the service for her brother-in-law. It is not known if husband Tom Cruise will also attend.
