Michael Jackson Starts O2 Rehearsals

Michael Jackson has started rehearsals for his upcoming gigs at London’s O2 Arena amid concerns over his voice, health and mental state.Michael JacksonThe 50-year-old singer has had the O2 stage recreated in a aircraft hangar at a top secret location somewhere in Los Angeles.

Jacko — who wants to put together a show which is rumored to feature elephants, monkeys and parrots and his eldest son Prince — is said to be working with choreographer Kenny Ortega, who was mentored by Gene Kelly and has since worked with Madonna and Cher.

Jackson kicks off his London gigs on July 8.

However, the Daily Mail reports that Michael’s family is worried about the star’s well being.

“Michael wants to put up a hell of a big show, but we are all holding our breath,” a family friend told tabloid. “He is going all out, and when you do that it comes with risks. Everyone is concerned about the number of dates.”

    it’s not credible at all.

    first of all, michael was commended by the animal rights association for stating he will NOT be using animals in his show.

    in addition, there aren’t confirmed issues with his ‘mental state’ – there were previously issues with his health, but he’s 50, and still – with his most recent health reports his doctor says he’s in great health.

    plus, if he’s recreated the stage in LA and it’s top-secret, how did this place find out about it? :-/

    Michael is the promised messiah, I believe he will prove he hasn’t diminished atall in July until then, let the man get his groove back.

    I wouldn’t be surprised if the family starts talking to the media about Michael. They always talk about him, and sometimes for him, for attention of some kind. I disregard a lot of what those “family friends” say.
    I love that idea of Michael rebuilding the whole O2 arena stage in some top secret place, but as much as i find that rumor entertaining i highly doubt it. But then again you never know :)
    And i wish i could hush up all those people and the media that are doubting his abilities to do these shows. I mean, doesnt he already have enough pressure on his shoulders without everyone doubting him? Just, …lets just see how it goes. I have complete faith that he wont disappoint. He knows this is big, and i dont think he would go into all of this unprepared. He knows what he’s doing. Lets just ease up off the guy…for ONCE.

    I am one of his biggest fans and I would love to see him pull this off. His lifestyle the past decade has eroded his talent level. I am waiting to see if he has anything left or if he will come out like Joe Louis did when he fought Rocky Marciano. We’ll have to wait and see. I hope he’s off the shit and the boos at least.
