A whole host of celebrities — including Halle Berry, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Jamie Foxx and Robert Downey Jr. — hit the red carpet in Los Angeles Monday (April 20) night for the premiere of new movie The Soloist . See pictures after the jump.

Halle Berry isn’t in the film — she was just there to look pretty; and boy, she did!

In the film, Robert Downey Jr. plays Steve Lopez, a columnist for the Los Angeles Times who wrote about Jamie Foxx‘s character and developed a friendship with him.

Foxx plays Nathaniel Ayers, a musician who becomes schizophrenic and homeless. The actor even chiseled his teeth in order to show a realistic appearance.

Jonathan Rhys Meyers isn’t in the film, either; he hit the red carpet to provide the man candy.

The Soloist — which is based on a true story — hits theaters on April 24.
