Dev Patel‘s mom has confirmed reports the actor IS dating his Slumdog Millionaire costar Freida Pinto.

“First it was the film and now everything else seems to have slotted into place,” said care worker Anita, 45. “Life can’t get any better for him.

“Freida is really beautiful and I am really happy for them. Yes, we knew he was flying to Israel to see her.

“He’s just an ordinary boy. We’re very proud of him.”

Dev, 18, and Freida, 24, are said to have started a relationship on the set of Danny Boyle’s multi-Oscar-winning film.
