The Twilight star, 22, fears he won’t live up to the expectations of his huge following.

“You see all these people and you think in one way or another that you have to please them… I’m not entirely sure still how to go about pleasing people,” he said.

“I generally get on with people who come up to me. It’s getting photographed…You have people who analyze your facial expressions to the tiniest degree.

“So you’re just trying to avoid getting photographed. You’re like, ‘Jesus you can’t win.’”

    That’s so sad that he can’t find a way to please his fans. My advice to him would be, “just be yourself and don’t ever change your down to earth attitude. I think all fans would agree to that. Just think about it this way….Just continue to be the way your are because those who matter won’t care, and those who care don’t matter”…you’ll always have true fans who’ll always be devoted to you no matter what the future holds….

    I am growing increasingly sympathetic to this poor young mans world. He can’t go out in public without everyone analyizing his every move, he can’t get involved with anyone because he is fearful of ruining their life, he has to make public appearances just to quash rumors about he and his Twilight partner and thir elicit romance. I know it’s all showbiz right, well good God give the poor guy a break. I cannot help but feel sorry for him, it would appear all chances of having some normalcy are gone, at least till some of the hype dies down I guess. All I can say is good luck, do you best, stay yourself and stay strong.He won’t be able to please everyone, there will always be critics, but the ones that matter, well it’s no effort to keep them happy !

    I know that people are saying that they do feelsorry for Robert, don’t get me wrong I do feel bad for the guy like he cant he even go out byhinselfand get a driniki without being speculated. The thing that everyone has to remember that Robert choosed this life evryone knows when you are in the ebtertainment field that you will always be speculated like a bacteria under a microscope. I will say that people are really getting out of hand, let the this young, hot, hollywood star have a moments rest, and do not believe everything you read in a magazine in the news it is usually just gossip.

    I agree to a certain extent that movie actors have to accept that this is part of the job, but it annoys me when paparazzi photographers follow them home and gossip columnists write about their private lives, that is crossing a line to me.
    I’m sure he’s happy to be photographed and filmed at premieres, doing interviews, press and promos but do we really need to see pictures of him taking out the trash or getting into his car after a night out. I believe he was photographed on a night out with his sister and the press were speculating about who this new “girlfriend” was! The rumours about him being involved with co-stars are just part of the Hollywood game, almost every movie generates that sort of gossip, it’s part of the way they promote the films and they’ve been doing it since the 1940s. I think it’s a bit crazy, it’s based on the idea that audiences are more likely to go see a film if they think the actors are doing each other in real life. Personally I don’t really care!!

    How crazy this feeling must be? Rob, just be yourself, man – you have charisma and I don’t think your fans care if the press takes a bad shot! From what I’ve read you have a very devoted fan base – ride the wave and try to enjoy yourself – oh and just one thing; (not that you would need advice) but start trying to please yourself for a change – instead of everyone else! Dude, you’ve got lots of life to live…so live it!! :)

    This guy really needs to realize that the only person he needs to please is himself. Fans are fans they are either going to like you or not and nothing you do or don’t do is going to change their minds. I think he’s under tremendous pressure, but much of it I believe he is putting on himself.

    hey i think that robert doesnt have to worry about doing something like acting to get girls even if he wasnt an actor if i seen him just normally walking around in london anyway i would think he is very attractive and i also think that he is very hansome and brave tell him to carry on with what he is doing im a huge fan of his and that i cant wait for the rest of the twilights ive got the first movie and all the books i also love his music i listen to it all the time and its amazing he is so talented and very sexy im going to london soon i cant wait
    im so gonna live there in about two years when im 20 ive always wanted to live there anyway hope he hears this comment he deserves to know how great he really is xxxxxxxxxxx

    i know i have put a comment already but i just want robert to also know that i know fans must be over welming but it just proves how much fans love him but i will always love him for who he really is the sensitive actor musician who always makes me laugh when i watch interviews with him on them and that he will make a change to this world some day like i say true love never dies and that the real thing can live forever and its true rob you can xxxxx

    I agree that Rob needs to please himself and stop worrying about pleasing everyone; he should realize that he IS pleasing all of his fans just by being an awesomely talented actor who is handsome, humble, down-to-earth, funny, intelligent and very charismatic. If you happen to read this Rob, just be YOURSELF, because that’s the Rob that we all love!!

    I wish there were some way, all of the Pattinson fans could reassure him thatl, he dores pleasse his fans by just being him. The “clueless” side of him, just tickles me, he’s crazy remarks, and to be so talented in multiple arts is totally a blessing. I am a Grandmother, and believe me when I tell you I keep up with everything I can read. Rob hang in there, your fans love you for you. The person that said those that matter won’t care and those that care don’t matter. YOU ARE AN INCREDIBLY insightful person, and I hope Rob can read that and take it to heart. Robert Thomas Patttinson this is your star and it is shining just for you. This Grandmother adores you.

    That’s part of his life. He should be a bit more relax then and go with the flow. The point about being photograph and people analysing your facial expression is a sad point to make. He is cute no doubt. So enjoy it Rob!
