Miley Cyrus‘ dad, Billy Ray Cyrus, is afraid of dentists.

The Achy Breaky Heart singer says he avoided any contact with a dentist until he was 19 years old and is still terrified of them.

“I was 19 years old before I ever went to a dentist,” he said. “We didn’t have a lot of money when I was growing up and I wouldn’t have gone if Morehead University didn’t need a model to show people how to clean their teeth. I was scared.”

Cyrus, 47, recently revealed that he makes time for all his six children, telling Britain’s GMTV: “I love them all, I spend time with each and all of them.

“The good news about my kids is they all love music. They’re all in the business and love music and that’s the common denominator we share.”
