Madonna Faces More Adoption Opposition

MadonnaMadonna is facing even more opposition in her attempt to adopt Mercy James from Malawi — the man claiming to be the tot’s biological father has vowed to put a stop to the adoption.

James Kambewa — who has never met his daughter and has only seen her picture in newspapers and on television — says he wants to bring up Mercy by himself.

“I want Mercy back. I am the biological father of Mercy,” Kambewa said.

“I don’t have the money to pay a lawyer, but I am looking for one so that I can issue an injunction stopping Madonna from continuing to seek to adopt my daughter.”

Madonna’s spokeswoman, Liz Rosenberg, did not immediately return a call for comment.

Madonna’s appeal of a court ruling denying her request to adopt the girl is to be heard on Monday in Malawi.

But, according to reports, the judge is expected to refuse her appeal.

Britain’s Sunday Mirror newspaper claims that Malawi Supreme Court’s top judge Lovemore Munlo is certain to dismiss the case — again.

“Mr Munlo is no fool and is keen to show that Malawi law is not to be messed with,” a source told the paper. “It is certain this case will be thrown out when it is heard by the learned judge.”

The Like a Virgin singer has already adopted a son, David, from Malawi.

    I would rather have Madonna adopt that dear girl, than a father who was never ever there for her or her mother, Madonna at least is trying her best to raise her kids and this man who claims to be Mercy’s daughter will probably take the child and then wave it infront of Madge’s nose or even ask her for money
    to raise Mercy, this so called father of Mercy, should not even be allowed to have her either, he sounds like a very wicked man and may probably use her to get to Madonna. Smells like a rat and this James guy definetly is one.
