Beyonce Knowles has revealed she’s in talks to play the late Eartha Kitt in a new film.

The Crazy in Love singer, who portrayed Etta James in Cadillac Records and Diana Ross in Dreamgirls, says she is hoping to complete a trilogy of diva roles by taking on Kitt — who died on Christmas Day 2008 after losing her battle with colon cancer — on the big screen.

“I was going to do a film about Eartha Kitt. It’s a great story, but I don’t know if it’s still happening,” said Beyonce.

“If it does, it’ll just fall into place.”
