Cameron Diaz wishes she was young again — because she wants to regain some of her innocence.

The actress — who is said to have split from her male model boyfriend — told Britain’s Closer magazine that she believes innocence — rather than looks — is the most enviable thing about youth.

“Women are obsessed with looking young, but what about the innocent of youth?” she said.

“That’s the thing you can’t get back… the thing to envy in young people is not how they look but their innocence.”

The 36-year-old added, “Things are good in my life right now… I feel good about my little world and the people that are in it.

“I feel I have grown spiritually, and I do like that aspect of my life.

“We all fall in love and we have our heart broken.

“And it’s not just about love over a boy or a girl, it’s all these things we collect in our lifetime to create ourselves.”
