Hugh Jackman Almost Hung up on The Academy

Hugh Jackman nearly missed out on his chance to host the Oscars because he thought his phone ringing was his alarm clock
The Wolverine star says he was fast asleep when he got the prestigious call and almost turned his phone off in a rage.
“I was very surprised they asked. It was 1.30 in the morning and I was in a press tour for Australia, I woke up to the phone call and I thought it was my wake-up call, I almost hung up on the Academy actually, but I said ‘Of course’ — I didn’t think for a second of saying no.”
Jackman — who is married to Australian actress Deborra-Lee Furness — recently revealed that he has a pet name for his penis.
“It’s a PG-rated movie so old James Roger down there wasn’t going to be seen on the big screen,” Hugh said, referring to his current box office smash X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
