Kiefer Sutherland Surrenders to Police

Kiefer SutherlandKiefer Sutherland arrived at a New York City police station for questioning on Thursday — two days after he allegedly headbutted women’s wear designer Jack McCollough after a boozy night at a local club.

He arrived at the station in a Lincoln Town Car with his lawyers. He did not speak to reporters as he entered the precinct house in lower Manhattan, the Associated Press reports.

The actor was fingerprinted and a mug shot was taken.

The 24 star — who is scheduled to start filming the eighth season in late May — could be charged with misdemeanor assault.

According to TMZ, Sutherland will not be arrested. He will receive a desk appearance ticket.

Meanwhile, Joe Schumacher — who will direct the star in his new movie Twelve — is defending Sutherland’s integrity.

“We love Kiefer,” Schumacher told People magazine. “He’s still the voice of Nick McDonell, the author in Twelve, which will be my fifth movie with Kiefer. And I hope there will be many more.”
