Katy Perry wants to get married.
The I Kissed a Girl singer — who recently rekindled her romance with former flame Travis McCoy — told the new issue of Cosmopolitan magazine that she’s keen to settle down and start a family.
“I’m not in a rush [to get married], but last night I was thinking, ‘Is it wrong for me to want to marry soon and have that feeling?’… To me, marriage isn’t about bank accounts and houses; it’s about finding the one you can hitch your hip to and build on each other’s strengths,” she said.
Perry added that her older sister is the one person who kicks her into touch when fame starts getting the better of her.
“My friends and family keep me grounded, especially my elder sister Angela, who’s 26,” she said. “She has a bedroom in my house in Hollywood and she travels everywhere with me to make sure I’m on time. She’s the one who kicks my ass!
“The way she wakes me up is pretty horrible. She’ll stand over my face with a glass of cold water and count to three. If I’m not up by three, she’ll pour.
“You need ‘no’ people around you, otherwise you’ll end up in rehab. My sister doesn’t care how many records I’ve sold, what I’ve done or what I have.”
