Lady Gaga was reduced to a jibbering wreck when she met her hero Bruce Springsteen.

The Just Dance hitmaker, real name Stefani Germanotta, admits she was so overwhelmed she snivelled and cried into Bruce’s neck when she met him.

“He gave me a big hug and I cried in his neck,” says Gaga. “My father used to dance with me to Thunder Road when I was very little. And I really love Bruce so much.

“I am a huge Bruce Springsteen fan. I just got carried away. How embarrassing. I hope he doesn’t remember.”

The 23-year-old recently insisted wouldn’t follow in the footsteps of Britney Spears by lip-synching onstage.

“I would never even think about it [lip-synching]. The whole point to me is, if you’re gonna be number one, you better really be f***ing number one,” she said. “If you’re gonna be on top, you better be able to do all those things, because it’s a real privilege to be able to make music everyday, and I get away with a lot.”
