Daniel Radcliffe’s Family, Friends Keep Him Grounded

jtm-0396122Daniel Radcliffe insists he won’t be getting big-headed like other Hollywood stars — because his family and friends help him keep his feet firmly on the ground.

If the Harry Potter star begins to get arrogant he knows those closest to him will cut him back down to size.

“Because the people around me that I love are great, normal and down to earth, they never let me get above myself,” Radcliffe says. “The difference between England and America is that in America if you start acting from a young age you’re treated as a star first and then a child second.

“And in England you’re treated very much as a child first and an actor second, which I think is the way it should be. And that is why I think there is a difference between kids who act in England and act in America. The Brits are more down to earth.”

    Hope Dan will not get big headed in the futur. most actors think as dan but see them today….. hope dan know what he want or else he will give a bad image of him

    Personally i think dan has already give a bad image of him by being naked in equus, being a bisexual or gay!

    Well said Dan, I totally agree with you. An example is Miley Cyrus. She started getting big-headed because she’s one of those child stars and she’s always been spoiled. Anyone watched her interview with Jonathan Ross? She was so rude! Bitch.

    I love you Dan, you seem totally down to earth and I hope you stay that way! (quit the smoking though, that would be an extra bonus. its unhealthy and doesn’t make you look more handsome).

    Well, I think that he’s very brave as an actor. I would love to actually meet him. I so wish I got to see Equus. I don’t think it’s where you live, per se, as to how you’re treated as a child actor. I think that parents and close “grown-ups” are who let someone get away with how the child gets treated or how they act. I wish him all the luck on what he chooses to do after Harry Potter.
