Matthew McConaughey has one man to thank for his luck with the ladies — singer George Michael.

The hunky actor had his first kiss to a Wham! song (written by George) and he has fond memories of the moment.

“I had my first kiss at this dance,” he says. “I was buzzing for weeks after that because I pulled it off and went for it. It was to Wham! – George Michael singing Careless Whisper. Romantic! I have to thank him for a lot.”

Matthew — who has a 10-month-old son Levi with partner Camila Alves — recently spoke of his love of fatherhood.

“Until recently he was all for his mom and milk and nothing else,” explained Matthew, 39. “Just recently though he’s started walking and getting into everything. Now he knows about Papa and wants to be with Papa too. It’s a wonderful time for all of us.”
