Ewan McGregor is putting his biking hobby on hold for the sake of his family.

The Scottish actor — who stars alongside Tom Hanks in new movie Angels and Demons – says he will not be following up on his round-the-world motorcycle rides with actor pal Charley Boorman for the foreseeable future.

“Right now I’m just concentrating on my films and my family,” says Ewan. “We did two in about three years so I think we will wait a while otherwise I might risk some serious backlash from my wife and family.”

McGregor, 38, is also currently trying to land his pilot’s license — but admits his busy schedule is getting in the way.

“I didn’t go solo yet because I never quite got to that point. I went off to do a job, which led straight into another job,” he said.

“What worries me about it is if I get the license, what happens if I’m always going away? I don’t like to fly when I’m making a movie, so I’m gonna be the most inconsistent pilot.”
