Cynthia Nixon is engaged to partner Christine Marinoni, it has been revealed.

The Sex and The City star announced the engagement on Sunday at a rally for gay marriage.

A source on the scene revealed to Access Hollywood that Nixon told the crowd she and Marinoni became engaged last month.

Cynthia began dating Christine in 2003 after splitting with husband Danny Mozes, with whom she has two children, Samantha and Charles.

“I think we would definitely [get married] if it became legal in New York,” Nixon said in an interview last year. “I don’t really want to get married to get married pretend. I think we’d like to do it in a real, actual, legal way that the state would recognize.”
