Oprah Winfrey has shot down claims author James Frey has dirt on her.

It was recently reported that Frey had secret and potentially damaging audiotapes of the powerful media mogul.

Speculation about the tapes reached fever-pitch when Oprah apologized to James for slamming him on her talk show after news broke that he fabricated parts of his memoir.

But Winfrey is shrugging off the existence of said tapes.

“There’s no truth to that,” she tells the New York Daily News. “It is all fiction. It just makes for a good novel.”
