Adam Lambert Isn’t Bitter About Losing Idol

Posted by Adam

adam-lambertAdam Lambert insists he isn’t bitter about losing the American Idol crown to Kris Allen.

“I felt so good. I got to sing with Queen and KISS!” Lambert told OK! magazine. “First or second, it doesn’t matter to me; I got to sing with two great heroic rock bands.”

A record-breaking 100 million votes determined the 23-year-old Conway, Arkansas native Allen as the Season 8 winner.

“I knew it was going to be a close race,” Lambert added. “I think Kris is incredibly talented and he’s a good person, so to me it was like, we know it’s going to be close; whatever happens, happens. We’ve made it this far, got to do a really cool finale and we’re both going to get to do great things now in the future.”

“For me, it’s not really about what happens tonight,” added the rocker. “It’s about tomorrow. It’s about next.”

“I know that we’re going to start working on some music right away, and that’s what I can’t wait to do — to collaborate, to write, to co-write and create visuals that go along with the music, too,” he explained. “I think that’s going to be really exciting.”

Oh, Adam, you wonderful person. Wish you won!

Adam, you are an Icon already in the minds and hearts of millions. I have not been touched so deeply by anyone in the music business since Elvis Presley! I cried; I danced; and I wanted to hear more and more! You are truly the most talented, creative and most versatile young artist I’ve ever seen and heard on American Idol…or anywhere else for that matter. You are certain to have a very long and successful career ahead.

Adam, you’re the best! I’m 61 years old and I was amazed at your talent. You should have won the Idol contest of course. It might be better that you didn’t though. Now you’ll have control of your career. I think that you were so far beyond any previous idol winner they didn’t know what to do with you. It was like a young Elvis had showed up to compete.
Go and make music. I’ll be listening and so will millions around the world.
Make some rock albumns for sure but don’t limit your self. Do all kinds of music. Create new songs, revive old songs by reinterpretation.
Don’t let anyone put you in a box. You can and should do all kinds of performance art.
Good luck. I can hardly wait to hear you again.

I was very disappointed to see that your most talented, carismatic and gifted performer came in second place. Of course, Adam Lambert will never be second place anything. I am sixty five years old and I was floored by the excitment he was able to generate in just a few moments on the stage. I question the voting system here. If there are too many more “giant, obvious mistakes, I won’t be watching american idol any more. Adam, I would have to say that the only person I have watched and loved for years, Elvis, of course … there’s something that clicks just like Elvis. Go for it!

I see I am not the only sr. citizen that has been totally into you since your 1st appearance on Idol. I agree that you are the new Elvis & will continue to entertain & surprise your fans with your great talent. This year Idol is so boring. Your great performances last year have ruined it for me. Nobody even comes close to bringing the show alive like you did. When are you coming to Cleveland? I would love to get a DVD of all your AI performaces & every other video you have made. Any chance of that happening?

The first time I saw Adam was at the tryouts. I immediately called friends and told them I had just seen the next “American Idol.” Of course, over the next week there was honestly no competion between the others. When he took the stage it was all his and that fantatic, beautiful voice–. I stopped watching Idol after the 2nd season becuase I felt that it was all wrong also. It seemed like it was a “fix” both times. I have purchase two CD’s from Adam and I’ll purchase anything he comes out with. By the way, I’m young at heart but not a child. I am 75!
