Michael Jackson Didn’t Postpone Gigs Due to Ill Health

Michael Jackson has shot down claims he postponed the first four dates of his London gigs because of his health.
The 50-year-old singer — who is reportedly suffering from skin cancer — was meant to kick off the 50-date-long set of live shows on July 8. They were due to wind up on February 24, 2010.
Jackson will now take to the stage at the British capital’s O2 Arena on July 13. Full refunds will be given if ticketholders can’t make the new dates.
AEG Live president Randy Phillips, head of the company promoting the London shows, has dismissed rumors surrounding Jackson’s health — insisting the singer is fit and well.
“The date change has absolutely nothing to do with his health,” said Randy. “The truth is the show has grown in scope and complexity and size.
“[Jackson is a] magnet for fabricated stories. He’s not dying of skin cancer”
Jackson’s choreographer for the tour, Kenny Ortega, adds, “I would trade my body for his tomorrow. He’s in fantastic shape.
“Physically and mentally we’re having a blast. We’re having a great time. This is a high time for Michael, he’s enjoying this.”
