Lily Allen Thinks Susan Boyle is Overrated

Lily Allen has launched a scathing attack on Susan Boyle — branding the Britain’s Got Talent contestant “overrated”. Lily Allen

The Smile singer took to her Twitter account to make the comments.

“I think Britain’s Got Talent is verging on child cruelty,” she wrote. “That poor little Natalie girl.

“Also Susan Boyle is so overrated. My goddaughter aged four was in a hysterical fit of tears. Not cool, [Simon] Cowell.”

Lily then justified her comments about Susan, adding, “I’m allowed to have an opinion. I thought her timing was off, no control and I don’t think she has an amazing voice.

“Yes, she can sing but, if it’s about talent, that Shaheen kid should win.”

    Just try to put out a single at the same time as Susan and we’ll see who gets further in the charts table… Amateur!

    She’s just stating her opinion, like anyone else. Susan Boyle, mentioned that she has (or had) a cold. Still Lily Allen wasn’t mean about it! She wrote that Susan Boyle, can sing well, (for me) It’s not about talent, I don’t watch these types of shows (American Idol) because this is the same exact thing. It”s not the hype of Susan Boyle, It’s about the misplaced hype of these shows, & how (terribly) they treat the contestants. Then they have to escape the title. American Idols..Carrie Underwood American Idols..Clay Aiken. And they never really get past that. This is what talent has been depicted as, screaming into a microphone (and that’s bad) Lily Allen is a singer, but for some if she doesn’t yell into a microphone, then it doesn’t matter (to them) That kind of screaming on key, has lost it’s appeal almost everybody will do it, just to get the attention of the judges.

    Interesting how Susan Boyle is no longer “Humble”, On Sunday she was “cocky” , ” showing off ” and very bigheaded. Now we hear she is selfish as well…… completely so, if what we read is true, that she has no consideration for her fellow hotel guests, by keeping them awake singing until 2am. Perhaps she should remember there may have been guest with young children , or those who had early business meetings to attend. She gives the impression, as long as she is alright, then no one else matters. One wonders what she will be like IF she wins BGT. There will be no stopping her and her stupid hip wiggle.
    Of course the public are partly to blame, yet again, going “over the top “, Let’s hope the public wake up and realise there are others who deserve the winning place more than Susan Boyle, who has , after all , had more than her fair share of Worldwide Glory . We will not be voting for her , let’s hope the title is snatched from her grasp, she needs to remember , the higher you climb the harder you fall and pride, of which she is showing she has in abundance , comes before a fall.

    Joao. You’re the one that’s angry about this, not her. Lily Allen also stated, that Susan Boyle, seemed like a lovely person. Susan Boyle commented that it was a cold that caused her problems. Lily Allen is passing judgment, on Susan Boyle”s last performance, (only) Nobody is being vindictive except you! So that would be you’re problem. Cowell gets a negative opinion from people everyday, but he asks for that! He secured his future, in the music biz, back in the 80′s. And he took both jobs for money, and his own ego. You”re going out of you”re way to leave a negative comment, that makes you sound like an uninformed idiot.

    That’s if the story is true. The source sounds like a British tabloid, (just guessing) if that’s the case, then it’s false.

    Yeah, conveniently left out of this article, was the point, that Lily Allen wrote; Susan Boyle is a lovely person. It’s not an attack of any kind. Except to Simon Cowell, and people don’t care, about him, but.. it will make the article sound like a personal attack, so.. ( It gets thrown in for good measure, ( come on Adam tell the truth, it’s just a simple opinion. You are obligated to some truth, and not just selective comments.

    I am allowed an opinion as well and mmine is ‘who the hell do you think you are?, you arrogant little sod, just like your father. Well you certainly ain’t got a voice worth listening to. Susan Boyle could win you hands down any time. Super Star (super bitch more like). Jealous? oh I think so, simply because susan HAS GOT TALENT and not a famous (moody) father. piss off the pair of you.

    No issues here but some in the pop world think that their world is what real singers are made of. There are a few great singers amongst them but most of the quality is lost in all to familiar runs,canned music, and programmed melodies. They do not hear the richness,warmth, and the earnestess in Boyle’s voice for this is not soemthing they can understand.
    The kid was great no doubt, but the experience the richness was not there and probably will take time and experience to develop.

    Pop drivel Lily Allen is not bad persay for the genre. Pop music were she sounds like everyone else out there and has nothing knew to say musicaly lyricaly etc……… . I am not trying to be crule but I am not sure if Lily would know a great voice if she heard it.
