Cameron Diaz: ‘Thank God We Get Older’

Cameron Diaz isn’t worried about getting older.
“It’s wonderful,” the 36-year-old actress tells Parade magazine. “Thank God we get older because if we’re not getting older, we’re dead. This is a much better option, to be getting older. And if we’re not going forward, then we’re stagnant, and we’re stuck. And I’ve been stuck before. And I don’t like it. It’s not fun.”
Diaz says she believes that with age comes wisdom.
“You gain knowledge,” she says. “And you grow. There’s nothing wrong with that. That’s a wonderful thing. I don’t have to prove anything to anybody because I know who I am. I have my own sense of myself. The things that I do, I do for myself. I do them to challenge myself. And I do them to have my own experience. And, hopefully, I’m also giving something back to the world.”
