Lily Allen has been lined up to make an appearance on Australian daytime soap Neighbours.
The singer will film her part during a visit to Melbourne next month, where she’s performing a sellout gig. She’s also in discussions to sing one of her hits during the episode, in which she will play herself.
Allen is to feature in a scene with Matt Werkmeister, who plays Zeke.
“I’m freaking out!” Matt, 17, told the Daily Mirror. “I haven’t been this excited for… I don’t know how long.
“I’ll be starstruck for sure, but I’ll try my hardest to stay professional.
“I’ll definitely want to get Lily’s autograph but will probably be too scared to ask her, so I’ll be asking someone else to get it for me.”
A source added, “Lily is delighted — she can’t wait. She’s been bragging about it to all her mates.
“She can’t quite believe she’ll take a turn on Ramsay Street – and meet Toadfish in person. Her role is pretty straight forward and she’ll only have a few lines.
“Lily is a natural in front of the camera and a true performer – she’ll be fab. Getting to appear in Neighbours really is a dream role for her. She’s just gutted that Kylie has long departed the show and that Bouncer is in the great dog kennel in the sky.”
