Amy Winehouse’s mother and father seem to have conflicting views over the troubled singer’s drug addiction.
A soon-to-be aired documentary about the Rehab hitmaker reveals that while her dad Mitch believes she’s okay, her mom Janis isn’t so optimistic.
Janis said, “It has to be Amy who says: ‘This is the problem I have’. But she has not said to me: ‘Can you help me’. She feels trapped.”
Meanwhile, Mitch insists, “It’s not all doom and gloom. She has instigated a drug replacement program and has put on 20lbs in weight since those horrible days.”
Janis recently revealed that her superstar daughter — who is currently on vacation in St Lucia — has started drinking heavily because she is bored.
Two of her closest friends are going over to try to calm her down a bit,” she said. “I think it will make a big difference because in the past few weeks she’s been bored.
“Amy knows her drinking ruined the performance [at the St Lucia Jazz Festival]. Of course her band is frustrated, but even they can’t stop her.”
