Prince Harry Visits New York

Britain’s Prince Harry paid a visit to Hanover Square in New York on May 29, 2009.
It was the 24-year-old’s first trip to the Big Apple and his first foreign visit as an official representative of the royal family.
He began by paying homage at Ground Zero to the almost 3,000 victims of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks against the World Trade Center.
He then named the British Garden in Manhattan and planted a magnolia as part of Mayor Michael Bloomberg‘s plan to green the city with a million new trees.
