Michael Jackson has embarked on a hunger strike, according to a new report.

The singer — who recently told fans he is too thin to perform 50 gigs in London — is apparently shunning food because he’s terrified that piling on the pounds could ruin his chances of beating skin cancer.

“Michael has a phobia about getting fat,” an insider told British tabloid The Sun. “He doesn’t want to put on any weight at all. It’s not healthy for him because he weighs less than nine stone now.

“But he is insistent that he’ll only eat once a day and is adamant that’s enough food from him. He’s very thin and frail.

Jackson — who was diagnosed with the disease last month — has already had painful shave biopsies on his chest, arm and nose to remove potentially lethal growths.

He visited a cancer clinic in Beverly Hills on Monday.
