Shia LaBeouf to Star in Wall Street Sequel

Shia LaBeouf is taking on Wall Street.
The Transformers actor will star in Money Never Sleeps, director Oliver Stone‘s follow up to Wall Street.
The 22-year-old will appear opposite Michael Douglas, who won an Oscar for his role in the original 1987 film.
LaBeouf describes the movie as “a walk and talk money movie” that’s “wordy and heady.”
Filming begins in August, and Shia has said he imagines it will feel like taking a college course in finance, a topic he admitted to having “no concept” of as an actor.
“I don’t know what … a credit derivative is,” he said. “I have no idea. I don’t know what a CPO is. IPB. LVC. You gotta know ticker names.”
In April, Douglas said that given the current economic crisis, it was even more timely to make the sequel.
“It will be really fun, and it’s a perfect time,” he said.
