Robert Pattinson ‘As Famous as Barack Obama’

Robert Pattinson is as famous as Barack Obama, according to his Twilight co-star Mike Welch.
Speaking to MTV, Welch — who plays the character of Mike Newton in the smash hit vampire movie franchise — insists Pattinson’s face is just as recognizable as the US President’s — because they both get mobbed wherever they go.
“If he’s in a room and he looks down and he looks back up, [in that instant] everyone in the room will be staring at him,” Welch said.
“It’s kind of ridiculous. [That level of fame] is literally Rob Pattinson and Barack Obama.”
Despite his charming good looks, 23-year-old Pattinson recently revealed how he was “gangly” during his teenage years.
“I always looked like a girl up until a few years ago,” he said. “And I never did any sport, so I was always the kind of gangly guy.”
