Britney Spears doesn’t like going out late at night — because she’s worried that people will try and “exploit” her.

The If U Seek Amy hitmaker — who suffered a highly-publicized breakdown in 2008 — says she feels safer hanging out at home with her friends and family.

“I’m just not that into going out late at night or going to clubs anymore,” Spears told a British magazine. “It’s the last thing I want to do with my life. I’m not interested in being with people who are looking to exploit me.

“I’m staying close to my family and friends and living very peacefully. I need my energy for my children and my music. I want to show people that I’m a strong woman. I have a lot of great things ahead of me that I want to accomplish.”

Despite Britney’s comments, she was recently seen out clubbing in London after her concert on Saturday night.

“Britney went to Maddox nightclub after her O2 gig on Saturday and left just before 12.30am,” a source told The Sun newspaper.

“It seemed odd that she wanted to be surrounded by people drinking considering she had imposed such strict restrictions while on tour.

“She didn’t drink and was only there for 45 minutes though.”
