Mariah Carey eats what she wants!
Sources close to the singer — who married singer Nick Cannon last year — say Mariah has piled on the pounds over the past few months because she celebrates her success with much-deserved meals.
“Mariah loves food,” an insider told the New York Post‘s Page Six gossip column. “Right now she’s making an album and eating everything and anything she wants. She has put on about 15 pounds, but she loves the curves.
“She’ll definitely tone up again when she releases her album, but as of now, she’s stuffing her face.”
Carey, 39, recently played down her reputation as a diva — insisting she is simply misunderstood.
“I have been through a lot that’s made me stronger,” she said. “They say: whatever doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. So I’ve been through that kind of stuff a few times.
“A lot of people have very different opinions about me and it’s difficult to face them and to deal with them and to go on and to say: no, actually you’re wrong. I am this, I am not that.”
