Rumors that Robert Pattinson is romancing his Twilight co-star Kristen Stewart were further fueled Monday — after the film’s director hinted that the duo are dating.

Catherine Hardwick believes the pair — who play onscreen lovers in the vampire movie franchise — have an “interesting” connection.

“People love to talk, so let them have fun talking,” Hardwicke told E! News. “I think they have an interesting, wonderful connection, so you know…What does dating mean? I don’t know. I couldn’t say.”

Last week, it was reported that Stewart was starting to fall for the hunky British heartthrob.

“Robert is obsessed with Kristen and has been for a while,” an insider told the New York Daily News newspaper. “He likes that she’s a cool, down-to-earth girl.

“Kristen never saw Rob as anything but a friend, but that seems to be changing.”
