Adam Lambert: ‘I’m Gay’
Adam Lambert insists he’s “proud” of his sexuality. 
Appearing on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine, the American Idol runner-up addressed the speculation over whether he is gay or straight.
“I don’t think it should be a surprise for anyone to hear that I’m gay,” Lambert told the mag, which hits newsstands this week.
“I started to realize I wasn’t like every other boy,” he added.
“I’m proud of my sexuality. I embrace it. It’s just another part of me.”
“I’m trying to be a singer, not a civil rights leader,” he says.
Lambert says he wasn’t upfront about his sexuality because he didn’t want it to overshadow his time on Idol. “I was worried that [coming out] would be so sensationalized that it would overshadow what I was there to do, which was sing,” he said. “I’m an entertainer, and who I am and what I do in my personal life is a separate thing. it shouldn’t matter. Except it does. It’s really confusing.”
Lambert credits Idol with helping him gain self confidence.
“I finally checked into my self-worth for the first time in my life, and the fact that it coincided with Idol is so sweet,” he says. “I mean, I still have moments where I think, ‘Oh, my skin is terrible, and I’m a little fat — I should really go to the gym more.’ But for the most part, when I look in the mirror now, I finally see somebody who can do something cool.”

Wow. Adam Lambert is gay. What a huge shock. What’s next, Denzel Washington is gonna come out and say he’s black, or Jet Li is gonna finally admit that he is oriental. Give me a break.He had his 15 mins of fame and now he wants more by telling people he’s gay. The sad part is the media acts like its groundbreaking news.
I was a fan until i heard the news..i am sooooooooooooooooo disappointed in adam lambert..i thought he was a cool, nice, genuine, handsome guy..but apparently not..adam i hope u read this i havnt given up hope yet..i will continue to pray 4 u that maybe this will change…i wish the news was that u werent “different”…but God loves u no matter wut..so i do too…but i hope u think about this and consider changing..if u change talk about me in ur report thingamajig on tv..God bless

Omg! Are you guys for real? Adam is gay… SO WHAT! it hasn’t changed one freakin thing. He’s still an amazing talented singer as he was from his audition!!! Adam may like guys instead of girls but thats his choice. I for one still think of him as an amazing cute singer who i think should have won. So get over your selves and just accept him for who he is and who talented he is! and if u dont like it…. OH WELL! :)
