Katy Perry is known for being outspoken — but she was lost for words after meeting Madonna for the first time.
The Hot N Cold singer admits she was too overwhelmed to talk to her idol when she met the Material Girl backstage at one of her gigs.
“I met Madonna after her show, with just her close friends and dancers,” Perry told Britain’s Glamour magazine. “But all I could say was, ‘thank you’. It was all I could get out of my mouth.”
Perry, 24, recently revealed that she’s addicted to the social-networking site Twitter.
“The other night I was in a great Mexican restaurant and so I Twittered — not that I was in this particular restaurant; I was a bit cryptic about which city it was — but there were people outside a minute after I put that out there. I forgot I was broadcasting live,” she said. “I am addicted to it.”
