Sources close to Miley Cyrus have confirmed earlier reports the teen star has split from boyfriend Justin Gaston.

“They have been having trouble for a while,” the insider told Us Weekly magazine, adding that the pair split on Sunday. “It’s been hard for a long time since Miley has been working so much and traveling a lot.”

Cyrus’ ex Nick Jonas “was not the reason for the split, but they have been spending time together.”

“Miley and Nick are working on a couple different projects together,” the source continued. “Justin has been a little jealous of that.”

A rep for Cyrus had no comment.
